I have to admit the cake here shares the first place with the wedding cake I had at the beginning of the year but in terms of availibilty Roamers is the place to go! For 5,00 € it’s not the cheapest but worth the money to try it once. I would even go as far as to treat myself to it if if it was my birthday.
Coincidently when I came here it was indeed one day before my birthday so I shared it with two of my friends. We were on a food hopping tour on that day so eating to much at one place wasn’t an option anyway. Read more about another stop from my food hopping tour here. Roamers was our first station on the food tour btw.
If you are into the brunch scene of Berlin then sooner or later you will stumble upon Roamers. Roamers is a small lovely californian cafe at Hermanplatz, Berlin.
It is always full of people but we managed to get a place when we came in at around 4pm. You should expect to have to wait though wheather it is to get a table or to get your food order.
As you probably might have guessed from the title and photos we ordered the carrot cake. Not only does it looks but also tastes exquisite. Roamer’s takes it up a notch with their food presentation. Can someone get me the recipe please?! Because the cake was way too good to be true. Honestly, it was absolutely impeccable!
Important to note is, that the offered cakes change daily so no guarantee you’ll get the carrot cake when you come. but I am sure that all the food here is delicious.
Hipster vibe is high here if I might say so (not meant in a bad way). The interior is decorated with lots of succulents and cacteens, combined with wooden elements it gives of a rustic vibe for a cozy atmosphare.
The slice of cake we got easily transitions into the interior here. You really don’t have to put any effort into taking photos because the food and interior is doing all the work. A definite plus to all the insta foodies out there!
I love the overall presentation of this place! Without the groupon code the food is expensive though.
